Sound Environement Installation
first exhibition..
Is a project initiated by Thomas Boonstoppel, he worked together
with Brecht Debackere (visuals), Jolan Koks (audio) and Arnoud
Traa (audio). The project is a product of there Master of Arts
graduation year at the HKU, European Media Master of Arts. There
mean target was to make an adaptive and interactive environment
meant for multiple handicapped people for this occasion they will
present a slightly altered (less sweet) version.
The Solus is a big inflatable sphere where people can lie in and
relax. On the sphere (from the inside out) the user can see an
orphic and colored images and hear ambient music. The audio and
video are being manipulated by an interface controlled by the
user. This interface is sort of a pillow (with integrated sensors
and speakers) that the user has lying on him or her. By pressing
this pillow the visuals and audio are manipulated true the inside
sensors.
