sunday 26.03.06

Hello you,

Now that we all have come down to earth after friday night's event, we would like to share some bits with you.

First of all thank you to all the great Expanding people for bringing their wonderful sounds to Brussels.
And of course a big thank you to the Beursschouwburg for being our great host that evening and everybody there who made it possible. The sound and light were great and also the chicken was delicious, we finished all ;) Thank you.

The evening started with a great warm-up by Plic:-:Ploc , who played for us his choice of the finest electronica and showed us a selection of his photography work.

After that we started with the beautiful sets by Holkham , Benge , Stendec and Bauri . Ranging from field recordings to breakbeat madness, we heard the whole range of electronica passing by. Even though we were sitting, the music was certainly filling the room, and taking us on a beautiful trip. All was accompanied by the imagery of Ewo whose visuals were a great addition to the ambiance in the room.

After that we continued the night with Loden and Dj Shaman , who definitely worked on our dancing shoes (the beers too). People were smiling and dancing until (and even after) the end.
Thanks to them, and be sure to see them again at another Plexiphonic event.

Finally we thank everybody who was there to enjoy the music and visuals. It has been an unforgettable night. And we hope you came home well.

Be sure to follow our news, because we are already planning the next steps for Plexiphonic. Expect more announcements soon.

Happy Spring and keep smiling.

tuesay 25.01.05

Hello all, It has been a very long time since the last time we left some words for you.
A lot of things happened here at Plexiphonic and we would like to share some with you. Besides the christmas and newyear break we took, we were struck by fire. Nobody's hurt (thanks to the incredible firemen), but it means that we can not go back to our place for two months. So this news is brought to you from the hotel room, were we will recide for the next months :) All this made us realise how precious our life is and that we really must cherish each breaththat we have, and realise that we are still vulnerable. And that insurance makes miracles when you need them ;)

Now that we are a little bit back on track we would like to inform you about the upcoming Plexiphonic event.

First there will the second in our labelnight events. This time we will present you to wonderful UK label Expanding Records. More info on this will come later, as soon as we have confirmed everything.

There will be a second special Plexiphonic event soon, but we are letting you wait for that one too. But expect something really nice. Yes we know, that is not a lot of info again. But we are sure you love our share of suspense sometimes right? yea.

If you have been sending us emails, do not worry, we will give you a reply very soon. We are
not ignoring you, we just didn't have the possibility to send you an answer.

Finally, our very late new years wishes. This new year will surely bring you
beautiful things. And we hope that you look back with joy to all what happened in 2004. One thing is sure: we will continue to bring you sweet sounds and visuals.

All the best for you, keep smiling :)

wednesday 24.11.04

We needed some time before giving you some words about  the night.

To see all these artists play for us was an amazing experience. Imagine a place where people were still swimming in the beginning of the century, and now at
the same place there is the sound of electronic music, with the people swimming on the melodies and sounds. ...

Yes it was quite cold, we must admit, but the next time we will make sure there will be some heating. We hope that we helped you that night to discover new sounds and athmospheres from U-cover . Thanks so much to the artists, we felt really lucky to have the chance to experience your music. Also thanks so much to U-Cover and Les Bains::Connective for making all this possible. And ofcourse thanks to all the people who went there and we hope that you all will keep your trust, and that you will continue to support Plexiphonic. Our only wish is to make you discover all faces of electronica music, because there is so much to discover about it.

Don't hesitate to send us your suggestions or opinions, they are more than
welcome.
If you wish to stay informed about Plexiphonic, you can subscribe to our
newsletter. There is already a video of the night Noisepollution.be and more pics and videos will appear soon on this site. The Plexiphonic birthday is already arriving soon, and we will give you complete info on that one really soon. Also: In the upcoming week you should definately keep an eye on our music section because it will be updated with a lot of new music soon.

Love, like always.

Their 5 year anniversary (and the european tour involved with that) gives us

that is growing there. For this, the only place we could think of was the beautiful swimmingpool from the 1920's at Les Bains::Connective:: , with it's wonderful ambiance, and good sound (don't worry). In this special place
each artist will let you experience their sounds together with beautiful visuals
from the places that they live in.All this will ensure your nice audio-visual
travel :)

In the early hours of the evening there is the possibility to eat a nice and warm dinner. Besides the warmth of the music, there will be hot soup to keep you warm in these (almost) winter days. All this for not too much euro's ofcourse.

The night will start early at 21:30 and the performances will end at 03:00. We
advise you too come early because the order of the line-up is a logical
progression of what we want to show you.

Panoptica ( 3)

One year I waited for the 3rd Panoptica festival, and I feel that I should share
with you some thoughts of that night..
It was so special because I had put myself to the mission of bringing to life the
visual aspect of Isan's music. That's not so easy you may think.....but in the
end it came naturally. It's not hard to receive images of nature, flowers, and the
innocense of childhood from Isan's beautiful and inspiring music.

It is nice to hear that electronic music doesn't always have to mean “robots and machines”, but real things ….simply all the things from life that are around us (the flowers, sky, children, trees, all these images that I showed with my visuals).
It is natural to take these things, and place them in their music, because they are there all the time.

Panoptica gave us the oppurtunity to hear our favourite song from Tomcats in
Tokyo and Modeselektor that made us completely awake!

Finally, the delicious quiche and chocolate cake and the hard work of the
Panoptica crew made this great time complete.

Look on the Panoptica website to see pictures and videos of the night
Here a link to the pictures from Nim

Thanks to all artists who played there, and to you for reading this message.

Enjoy electronica !
